For one week, I tracked everything I ate (alone and with loved ones) to categorize and gain insight on what flavor profile I eat most often during an average week in my life.
As someone who is fascinated by experiencing senses through other senses, I approached this visualization by first taking an extended amount of time to eat my meals. Resulting from taking great care to notice not only what the meals tasted like, but how they felt in my mouth, I assigned a color, shape, and texture to each flavor type.

The categories “# of times tasted” and “shared meals” have iconography comprised of wet brush textures to incorporate the relationship between my tongue to my meals.
The shape representing “Savory” is the only figure with defined edges, highlighting it as my most eaten flavor profile during that week.
